more info you should know about scuba diving gear from here :

Ten gears you need on your first scuba diving trip

You are like an iron man but in water, let’s know your new part of the body :

how do scuba diving gear work:

Mask ( not the green one and move fast ) lol!

I am talking about the dive mask it creates to protect your eyes and nose from the air in front so you can see clearly, underwater and equalize the pressure on your ears and sinuses as you go deeper the snorkel tube helps you to take a breath of air when you float on the surface, don’t forget to put snorkel left side.

Gear Bag

Help you keep all your scuba diving gear safe and in one place; try to choose one with low wight and +17 letter size.

Wetsuit or Drysuit ( body keeper )

Insulation your body against this cooling effect, usually pick 3mm-thick suits full or a shorty for warm water and 5mm to 7mm (full suits) with a hood and gloves for cold water diving.

Dive Computer

Monitor what’s happening to you underwater, your depth and how much time spent underwater, how much air left in your tank, and what’s longer to stay safe all can be displayed on a little computer dive monitor.

BCD It’s like a backpack or a jacket. Both can be wear on the back. But what can be done with that jacket is what makes the difference in diving and makes you control buoyancy.

As it works simply to remain on the surface when you press the button gradually to fill the wings with air and then the amount of water weight removed by the weight of your body, which makes you float and floating occurs when you gradually emptied the wings of the air to become wings of the emptiness of the air and then the amount of weight removed by the air Your body is less than the weight of the water and floating

according to the “Role of Archimedes.”

When you practice Ascending and Descending, you have the time to control your body into the water without sinking or floating.

Skill #03 keep your scuba diving equipment cleaned

Cleaning equipment is an important part of diving and keeps you safe from falling into diving accidents; the following steps, while teaching you some simple and effective skills to clean the equipment, actually help you avoid a falling accident.

My grandmother never suffer from that again!

Why does my mask keep fogging up?

When your inside wall of lenses of your mask becomes more Moisture, the fog started to form; here are some steps to reduce the condensing water’s surface tension.

Once a time I was visiting my grandmother to talk, and she was sitting in front of me, and she was wearing her glasses with big frame lenses, and I could barely see her eyes when she spoke because the lenses filled with fog hhhh! It was a funny position; then I told her that she would see better if I was soaking the lenses in fresh baby foam shampoo, and the result was good now I can see her beautiful eye; similarly, you can wash the diving mask to get rid of fog, if the fog collects on the lenses it will restrict your movement. You cant see the marine life clear; maybe it caused you of bumping accident with surrounding objects or your buddy that will heart you and others, so keep your mask lenses clear, please !!!

  • another step can be done if you forget to used the shampoo trick when you underwater, and it’s usually a trick for all divers, while you take breath normally

Pull up your mask at an angle of 60 degrees and then let the air bubbles go to the lens for 10 seconds with the head moving right and left, and then wear the mask again. Often this trick will be mastered with the exercise.

Skill #04: Pre-dive checks

check your scuba diving equipment

before you go underwater, you should know the meaning of SCUBA its stands for Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, so you should keep yourself safe underwater by doing commonly five steps it’s the key to be in safe, and a Scuba Diver performs this check step before descending underwater

What are the five steps in a pre-dive safety check?

as a new scuba diver every day you read something new to improve skill for it, and I find this steps can be helpful and you should be saving it because it’s repeated routine for every dive you do it

Be sure to check your ability to work for your gear started from bcd be sure the pressures low, make sure it’s partially inflated and the tank hold in their place without moving, then check signaling devices on the surface which is attached with your BCD and your pocket in front place.

  • check your regulator breathing and the alternative hose for emergence situation
  • make your wight equation to be sure not to descend too fast to deep
  • for first time dive, be sure to dive with the medium group, not solo to review each other before release to be sure that clear and safe to dive
  • check your buddy finally check if something is missing not in place or not adjustment
  • try to equalize ear pressure on the surface its gone work better for you avoid feel pain
  • Extra Step Check you have been Installed Trusted Dive Log App

Skill #05: Hand Signals communication

For each world, there is a language to communicate.

Without that language, there is no meaning to life; what if that world being underwater with your buddies or girlfriend how to communicate then, while you cant speak underwater actually it’s a funny and easy way as it would like a bear where your hand makes mark message with finger received faster than what’s up message hhh ! I think the way is clear now; let us get know some helpful steps that can make our communication better and enjoy in fun under the water near the turtle and beautiful reef :

  • play Hand Signals game message :

let’s name it gues game, while you sit behind your buddies on plane or boat, and you have been wearing your scuba dive in diving spot try with your buddy to play gues game you make the signal and he will gues it this helps both of you to remember hand signal effective and understand each other underwater that can be safe your life to handle any problem by buddy help

  • print Hand Signals on A4 :

For beginners and for your first-time dive after a long time, select a week you can print Hand Signals on A4 paper common 17 Hand Signals communication it’s simple to save any time when you have the chance to save.

I hear you say I need the list for here is :

17 hand signs that can save your life as a diver

  • make Hand Signals figure near to you :

A study said that the best time to save new things fast is before sleeping or in the early morning; make it a habit to put necessary things near your bed. I’m sure you will check it when you get to sleep, and you will save it absolutely.

Some benefits for learning Hand Signals communication

  • save your life :

You should be aware that hand signals will save your life a dozen times and help you to handle situations fast with your buddy keep you safe from a diving accident such as tank out of the air, shark near to you, and how to deal with and alert your friends.

How do you alert your friend that he is near a white shark?

  • enjoy and fun :

While you dive above the beautiful reef and you would like to join your buddy in that amazing view, it’s easier to move your hand and give the signal that mean come to here there is some fun dude.

The best way to avoid a bad experience is to know what may happen and face it before it happens. To reach this stage of consciousness, we have to read, always ask, and learn from others’ experiences.

Skill #06: relax its an adventure

whatever new activity you willing to start, there is little inside anxiety, and for every recent activity you do, you need to aware of that point that makes you feel stress; what I learn and know about anxiety feeling while getting on your first dive is to select specially what you feel about dive and react calmly with an unknown situation or new that happens with you underwater,

this step helps me to become better and have good experience in dive sport :

What to do and not to do

before one day dive

  • create your checklist for equipment

Make a list of fav Scuba diving equipment that thinks it should be with you on your coming trip.

  •  prepare your scuba diving gear

Check that you have all you need on your bag gear on the night before one day dive that avoid you feeling that you forget something in the morning. This keeps you feeling everything gonna be ok !!

That makes you feel Dispersed, and this is bad for your start dive morning; manage your time, and give yourself time to check what you need; it takes only 1-2 hours.

  • try to avoid any offer to celebrate before an upcoming event in the morning; keep it in moderation

And the cause is alcohol can increase your feeling of anxiety in the morning; it can be the reason for mood disorders; it makes you lose body warmth, and you need to be focused and ready for the next day.

  • please don’t make it alcohol diving night while you dive in the morning

So don’t drink, it’s not a good idea before diving.

  • it’s better to do the diet for a week before diving some diet

Some dietitian said that it is better to eat food that plenty of good calories grains, veggies, and fruit and eat low-fat dairy products is good and some meat and fish if you love, and drink enough water try to eat small breakfast usually eat 2 hours before you dive and keep portions short.

Don’t overeat; it’s a bad idea to try to eat plenty of protein, carbohydrates like better pasta bread. The best thing to do to prepare yourself for the next dive is to drink water.

  • asked yourself what the source of anxiety is

As I mentioned in the Beginning, you should know the reason for that feeling of anxiety; while you are talking to yourself trying to analysis the purpose of fear,

do you find that the reason is your mask fogging ? or seeing some unfamiliar marine species stimulate anxiety ? or you feel cold? Maybe the point of dive Terrain is unfamiliar? Is your buddy an uncomfortable person or noisy? Think if there is something specific, stimulating your anxious feelings and solving it by asking and searching for this is a fast way to stop it before it begging.

You are asking now What Makes Beginners are Feeling Anxious From Scuba Dive?

  • I am not shy, I asked.

Ask ask ask this is the best way to build awareness about your new hope; after you Figuring out the purpose of anxiety, make a list for that written and try to ask your buddy or team or team instructor; this is very helpful and open to you that door for facing any issue is possible while they talk about the same experience they have a cross of it and have the chance to tell you how do they pass on it bravely so don’t be shy and asked anywhere to become comfortable and ready to dive.

  • be friendly and present yourself to your team and instructor

this is very helpful to you for Increase your self-confidence and get close to your team or buddy, which facilitates communication underwater and makes you feel that you have friends will share you in new adventures and face any problem is simple for you when you to gather

  • don’t be like a ghost come and go without leave hint make new friends for the next adventure
  • I sleep enough to be active tomorrow

You should not be exhausted the next day from an action you have been done, and you should give your body and mind the appropriate rest before the day of the dive. It is preferred to be between 8-10 hours until you are actively and energetically diving and focusing on the tasks that should be performed well on your first day. This gives you a good diving experience and relaxing make you would dive again and again.

Skill #07: Controlled Descents

The most important moment is when you get descent inside the water, and if you do it the right way, you will do your next dive step fine and continue without problem like ear equalization and avoid landing on coral or other marine creatures.

steps for success descents

  • Avoid losing control of BCD.

The main purpose of unsuccessful descent is losing control of BCD. THESE CAUSES TO DESCENT FAST OR FLOAT FAST, AND THIS WRONG SO YOU SHOULD adjust the BCD to achieve neutral buoyancy BEFORE DESCENT THIS STEP CAN BE DONE IN INDOOR POOL TO KNOW The appropriate weight to be able to descend in a neutral buoyancy without kicking and sinking.

  • Take Control of your Exhale on your lungs.

The second way of controlling your successful descent is your lungs; while you in the surface to begin the descent, you should Exhale your lungs Fully, to slowly sink in usual it takes between 8-10 seconds this help you control decent be patient if it first time, remember to be calm.

  • Control of the amount of air on your BCD

While you decant slowly and after 10 seconds of Exhale Fully and before arrived at Suitable point of height and achieve neutral buoyancy start to inhale and add a tiny amount of air to your BCD, you are master your diving now !! See, it’s easy !!

  • keep checking for the gauge depth

After you descent, little feet slowly as usual for the first dive and achieve neutral buoyancy; keep in your mind to check the gauge depth and be sure that the descent doesn’t affect your ear hard, and the pressure is equalized normally on your ear without a problem you dive in peace, it’s good to check your buddy gauge depth when you descent with the group.

  • Practice! Practice! Practice!

Practice again and again until achieving neutral buoyancy, prefer to find near Indoor pool to practice.

Skill #08: Improve Breathing

Breathing is playing the third part of neutral buoyancy achieved, and learning these steps will help give you more control over neutral buoyancy.

  • practice breathing before first diving

it’s very helpful almost you going to do is simple (6-second inhalation then 8-second exhalation) train, count in your hand until it becomes a habit for diving when you practice on this way you’ll never hold your breath while you underwater

  • move slow and feel the slow motion

Around you, I mean enjoy !! You are not in a race and trying to Making the biggest effort to hit a goal; this sport is different; you can move slow and enjoy the marine life, and that’s the goal; if you think like that, you will be able to save your effort and your gas and live memorable moment ever.

  • keep your body warm

While you swim, your body is burns calories and consumes oxygen to generate heat; keep in mind to wear a hood even in warm water.

  • learn kick less (short kick ) effort less

this less consume your power, muscle effort, and oxygen too

Skill #09: Mastering Buoyancy control

now you know that there is three main part for master Buoyancy control

BCD (buoyancy control device ), your lungs, weights, and all work together to achieve neutral buoyancy. What you will learn is a step to awareness of how it works to gather practice to achieve neutral buoyancy and grow your dive skill.

Reading this mini-guide without application does not make you acquire skills quickly, but you should know your skills on the ground in indoor pools near you to improve your skills when applying what you have learned.

  • calculate your body weight

Before doing a neutral buoyancy ability test on an indoor pool near you by using a snorkel, you can stop motion with half a breath and then get started to sink when you exhale; you can use little wight to help you know you needed of weight to control sink easily.

  • pick up the right wight suit

Before buying your scuba diving suit, you can check the weight for the suit to add their weight when you are testing your neutral buoyancy. The second step is to wear the suit you have already bought, jump to the pool, and check your neutral buoyancy ability.

  • Do the BCD test buoyancy.

BCD test buoyancy while you wear it. Be sure that your bladder is empty of the air; you can add their weight before buying BCD from the website. Just search on the website and find the wight in the description.

  • Add Your Tank wight to your calculations.

It varies wildly on buoyancy when I calculate for aluminum 80 psi is 1.6 pounds negatively buoyant empty tank when it is 2.8 pounds positively buoyant at 500 psi.

For a steel tank, 80 psi is about 9 pounds negative when it full and 3 pounds negative when empty. That’s three pounds that can be removed from weight addition.

I Do some calculation for weight needed for diving between start from 50 kgs to 100 kgs weight.

This will help you to determine the weights of the equipment that suits you before buying can be equal to the weights you need to reach the natural buoyancy. I hope this table helps you.

You may feel confused by the multiple weights. Do not hesitate to contact me at any time to consult for choosing what suits you and your weight as well as your budget for equipment.

Skill #10: Emergency Ascents techniques

At almost the time when you descend under the water, you should know the time which you will still be looking at your dive computer, but what if you forget for a different reason !! let us check out these steps it can improve emergency ascents skill :

  • when arrived at the bottom trying to find your buddy to be sure he is near you and can help
  • check your amount of time to stay underwater on your dive computer

If you forget all the Previous step and suddenly you find your tank out of the air, then what to do?

you should keep in your mind that could happen with anyone, but the difference between other is how do you act in this situation

  • The first step to do is being calm and think before doing any nervous moving
  • check the distance between you and the surface to select your way to go up
  • the usually next move is get rid of your weights around your body to start positive buoyancy
  • be sure to release air on your BCD slowly to attain positive buoyancy
  • Make your body in its horizontal position and is the safest position to avoid decompression sickness problems on the body
  • keep the regulator in the mouth to keep you from inhaling water.
  • exhalation should be longer than inhaling to attain positive buoyancy without stop breathing
  • swim up horizontal
  • keep in mind to give yourself the safe time to reach the surface is between 3-5 minutes; this helps you to avoid the hit of decompression sickness from ascending too quickly.
  • Lookup to the surface to select the exit point and go there; this can help you to be sure that is nothing up to your exit point. Looking up can help you to know that you are ascending slowly while you are looking up, be sure that bubbles of exhalation go up faster than your position is under of it; this way help to gauge your ascent rate, and this means you are in safe time to get surface and keep you out of hit decompression sickness which is a big reason for it
  • when you arrived at the surface safely and reach the exit point, and your head out of water take breathing normally
  • look around you to know your next goal and swim toward it

Skill #11: challenge yourself discovering a new place

after you know the importance of choose dive spot and water type salt and fresh, understand their effect on buoyancy
